Area Time Description
2 7:30 - 8:55

Centrifugal Pump Assembly & Repair: Updated and Revised! This is our Mid-Atlantic Pump Symposium signature training class; Participate in the world's largest hands on pump training event and receive practical how-to information given by expert millwrights. We have updated this program to reflect today's pump repair priorities.

4 7:30 - 8:55

Selection and Failure Analysis of Mechanical Seals: Find out for yourself why most mechanical seals fail to achieve the service life they are designed for. You'll learn how to spot the symptoms of an array of failure conditions and will develop your own set of corrective actions to get the extended seal life you are looking for.

3 8:00-9:25

Live Demonstration of a Centrifugal Pump Performance Test: We will operate an industry standard centrifugal pump on our test stand and generate it's own unique performance curve. Upon completion of this course, attendees will have learned how to apply these procedures to applications to help reduce maintenance and operating budgets.

5 8:00-9:25

Rotary Gear Pump Assembly and Repair: Another Mid-Atlantic Pump and Process Equipment classic. This is a one of a kind opportunity to perform hands on training with rotary gear pumps. You will be a part of a hands-on disassembly, trouble-shooting and repair of rotary gear pumps class and receive practical how-to information and training by expert millwrights.

2 9:30-10:55

Installation and Maintenance of Mechanical Seals: Learn by doing in this hands on seminar designed to teach the basic types of mechanical seals and how to install them to achieve the longest possible service life. You'll install both component and cartridge type mechanical seals, and wrench in hand, will pick up tips and techniques used by the experts.

4 9:30-10:55

Solutions for the Toughest Water & Wastewater Pump Applications: From foam to scum, grit to sludge cake, mannich polymer to chemical sumps, you'll see real world, proven solutions reviewed with hands on disassembly and demonstrations of selected key equipment options.

3 10:00-11:25

Live Demonstration of Variable Speed Pump and Controls:Energy is the highest cost factor for most pump installations. We will generate real time pump performance curves and system curves, and determine the energy costs. Attendees will learn how to identify inefficiencies within pumping systems and understand practical techniques to reduce life cycle costs.
