Rotron Regenerative Blowers
ROTRON regenerative blowers are oil-free, single- or double-ended units designed and manufactured by Bison, an AMETEK business, in Whitsett, NC. The line is built around one core design that can be configured for Chemical Processing (CP), Environmental (EN), or Industrial (DR) duty, plus motorless Remote Drive (RD) units and several application-specific variants, so the same basic blower can be matched to the corrosion resistance, explosion protection, or general-duty needs of a given installation.

Chemical Processing (CP) configuration: built for corrosive and hazardous duty with chemical-duty motors, Chem-Tough corrosion-resistant treatment, 303 stainless-steel motor shafts, and a Teflon lip seal limiting leakage to 5 cc/min or less; most models offer an explosion-proof motor option; manufacturer lists biogas & landfill digesters, wastewater treatment plants, and other corrosive applications
Environmental (EN) configuration: explosion-proof motors (Class I, Division 1, Group D minimum) and the low-leak seal package come standard, with a spark-resistant, vacuum-impregnated housing and RTV-sealed metal-to-metal joints; manufacturer lists biogas & landfill digesters, air & gas sampling, combustible gas handling, soil vapor extraction, and other hazardous locations
Industrial (DR) configuration: Sparkproof construction with carbon steel shaft and zinc-plated hardware for general-duty settings; manufacturer lists air-assisted inflation/support, electronic cooling, material transport/separation/collection, media agitation & aeration, parts blow-off & drying, and vacuum pickup or hold-down
Remote Drive (RD) units: motorless versions carrying over DR/EN/CP/SL features for variable flow performance in a compact package
Application-specific Spa, SE, SL, and MD variants are also offered for particular duty types
