Prochem PB Series Mixer
Prochem belt-driven, side-entering agitators are designed for demanding mixing applications in large tanks and vessels. Marketed under the Prochem brand alongside the Chemineer HS gear-driven agitator, the line covers two configurations — the PB (pillow block bearings) and MD (enclosed bearing cartridge) — and has over 40 years of field-proven performance, per the manufacturer. Side-entering agitators compared to top-entering agitators typically use higher HP at faster rotational speeds, mount to the side of a vessel with a simple pipe leg support, and have shorter shaft lengths and lighter weight.
